StoryBook Theater

EMAIL

StoryBook Theater presents delightful musical fairytale adaptations performed by adult professional actors, especially for young audiences, ages 3-10. These hilarious, kid-friendly, 55- minute weekend matinées will make the family laugh and sing out loud!

StoryBook Theater's 2010 Season

The Emperor is a vain and silly guy - always looking for the most beautiful and expensive new clothing. Along come two tricksters who fool the Emperor into believing that nothing is something. Will the Emperor wander the kingdom in his underwear, or will everyone, including the audience, tell him the honest truth?

Will the Queen let her son marry the girl he loves, even if she's not as pretty as the other princesses? And what defines a real princess? Beauty? Kindness? Courage? Or is it an aversion to little green vegetables? Find out in this not-so-traditional but oh-so-delightful story about big beds, pining princesses and petite peas.

Oh! The Places We’ll Go!

If you’ve visited the Studio lately, you know how crowded and cramped we are. Well not for long! We’ve found a great new space in north Kirkland with over 13,000 square feet of beautiful studio, lobby, tech, office and theater space! In January we will begin the process of converting the warehouse and retail store into a gorgeous, bigger-than-life new home. Kirkland architects Galen Page and Lee Beard have been working with us to make our dream a reality, as you can see from their drawings. If you’d like more information or would like to be a part of this exciting venture, sign up to receive our e-newsletter. We’re going to need lots of help in many areas! If you would like to donate time, materials, money or a Chihuly for our lobby, please get in touch with us!
