TaleSpinners camps are perfect and popular for 1st and 2nd graders who love creating stories. Experienced, professional theater instructors work with students to create characters and weave their stories into a play based on a weekly theme. Students participate in large and small group work as they create the plot, dialogue, props, and costume pieces for their very own play, while learning stage etiquette and terminology. Snack break, lunch time and free play give students a chance to interact with their
peers and build teamwork skills outside of the theatrical conventions of playwriting and rehearsal time. Each camp has a unique combination of students and their ideas, and therefore the process and product are always new and fresh. On the last day of camp, families are invited to watch the spectacular storytelling and stagecraft!
Camp size: Limited to 30 students
For Students Entering Grades 1 - 2 in the Fall
